Virgin London Marathon 2014 · 13 April 2014 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am Kevin Marshall and I am 50 years old. In April, I will be running the London Marathon to help raise money for the Lifton Community Centre.
Why am I running for this charity? Well, I am a resident of this village and have been associated with the village for most of my life, including attending the village school; getting married in Lifton Church; having my wedding reception in the Arundell Arms; playing football and badminton for the village and I want to see state of the art facilities in the village whereby all residents, of all ages, young and old can meet, have fun, learn and get fit.
There are many in the village that are not as lucky as I am and cannot travel to access groups outside the village. They really need a multiuse community building where they can enjoy a range of activities and meet and have fun with others.
Lifton Community Centre has the land and planning permission to build the Centre. It is now trying to secure funds so it can start building. I am aiming to raise £1,000 to help boost the funds. Please support me in my venture.
This will be the seventh time I have run the London Marathon, so I am not new to it, but each year I get excited about running it because it is such a fantastic event and I am also helping others.
