Story

We made it! We swam to France! Can't quite believe it!

At 00.06 on Sunday morning, after 14 hours, 11 minutes and 30 seconds of swimming, we hit France.

Best bits:

Jumping into the sea at Dover with onlookers cheering.
When I broke through the current (I didn't know what this meant but apparently it was good and took 2 hours of our swim)
Stars from the boat at night were amazing.
Seeing the boys stand up on French land!
Popping the champagne (didn’t manage to drink it as felt too sick but was fun to pop it anyway)

Worst bits:

Swimming in the dark.
Being 1.5 miles from France and told we had 7 hours of swimming left as couldn't break the current (little did they know!).
Being stung by a jellyfish
Being seasick.
Getting back to Dover in the middle of the night and having to sleep rough.
