Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My Dad (Peter Hopwood) died on 25th May 2010 aged 61 years from Motor Neurone Disease - less than 2 years after the photo of the two of us on this page was taken. He was an amazing guy and very very special to everyone that knew him. Following his confirmed diagnosis of MND in the summer of 2009 the MNDA became an important part of our lives and were of tremendous support to us all. Sadly my Dad lived for less than a year after his diagnosis, but the vital work of the MNDA goes on. Now has been the time for me to give something back to them.
So, our skydive finally happened on unday 14th August 2011, at the thrid attempt at trying to get on the right side of the British weather! Along with my sister Rachel and her boyfriend Allan, I jumped out of a perfectly good plane at 13,000ft (in a tandem skydive), freefalling for around 6,500ft before the parachute opened. The idea being to raise as much money as possible for such a worthy cause.
