Thank you for visiting my Just Giving page.
I'm Kat, a 29 year old gamer in Bournemouth, UK. Following my article about SpecialEffect after visiting the recent Eurogamer expo (http://www.gaminglives.com/2010/10/13/game-on-for-everyone/ ) I decided that I'd like to be more proactive and help raise some money for such a fantastic cause.
I am going to attempt 24 hours of playing Halo Reach starting at approx 4am on Saturday 23rd October. Some gamers may not consider this much of a challenge however I suck at Halo and get urges to rage-quit after only an hour. I also can't drink caffeine so I'll be relying on Haribo to see me through.
SpecialEffect do so many things to help people with disabilities get enjoyment from games. For example developing software and ground breaking eye-controlled technology and modifying controllers therefore helping give people a better quality of life. Please take a look at this short video which shows one example of the work they do - http://vimeo.com/10345659 I would be incredibly grateful for any amount you are able to donate. Thank you so much!
