Story

Working in the home care sector, we get to see the huge challenges that families face when one of their loved ones is living with dementia.

We're also very aware that with 1 in 3 people now facing a dementia diagnosis within their lifetime, it's likely that we will have to deal with it ourselves at some point.

We both love walking, love exploring the Lake District and are big supporters of Alzheimer's Society, so signing up for this event was a no-brainer for us!

We hope you can help us reach our fundraising goal - no amount is too small to be very gratefully received! And if you'd like us to walk in memory of someone special, we will happily do that on your behalf.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
