The ride is parallel to a marathon a day and is quite an undertaking and commitment. I will be training for the months leading up to the ride in order to build to a level of fitness that means I will be able to complete this arduous challenge. As a team of 70 riders we need to pedal our way from Geneva to Cannes covering 125km (about 80 miles) a day.
I lost my father, Norris Spencer, in 2006 to cancer and ride in his memory. 1 in 25 people will develop a blood cancer in their lifetime. 1 in 3 people will develop a form of cancer in their lifetime. Almost 300,000 people are diagnosed each year in the UK. Do something now.
