Thankyou to everyone who has supported me.
I ran the marathon with a friend of mine, and we were running well, making good time too, but when Angela had to stop as she was suffering with a calf muscle problem, I stopped with her. After several stop/starts, I decided to carry on on my own, but unfortunately I had lost all the momentum and so found the last part particularly difficult!!
At the end I had to lie down in the St John's Ambulance tent, as I felt quite dizzy/sick, but it had it's compensations though. I was fortunate enough to have a lovely massage from one of the physios as my muscles had started to tighten!
The crowds, as usual, were absolutely brilliant. They offered sweets etc and, of course, their unending support all the way round. If you've never been to watch the London Marathon, you should go for the day, it's brilliant, and it makes you very proud to be taking part.
I've still to collect some money in, but considering I didn't decide to run until quite late in the day, my total will be quite good, thanks to your generosity.
Here's to next year!!??
