Story
I did it!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I accepted the challenge to do a sponsored swim of 100 lengths in aid of RNID's Centenary Appeal. It's a charity close to my heart because I only discovered 3 years ago that I have minor hearing loss myself. (So, to my family, I can now retort that it's not a question of my not LISTENING, but simply not HEARING! The difference is significant.)
I completed my 100 lengths on Tuesday 7th June, starting at 7 am. This means I managed it two days before RNID's 100th birthday. As of 9th June, they've changed their name to Action on Hearing Loss. Here's the new website:- http://www.actiononhearingloss.org.uk/
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now. I've raised £400 online and £230 in cash donations so far - I went and took my cash donations to the Action on Hearing Loss office this morning (and had a very nice cup of coffee there, thanks folks!), but it's not too late to add your sponsorship to the total. It's all for a very good cause.
If you see me, remember this JustGiving website. And thank you in advance for supporting me.
