Story
I will be climbing Mount Snowdon to raise money for the Leamington & Warwick Khalsa Aid water for Africa Appeal with a team of great sevadars from Warwick and Leamington in June followed up with completing cycling and supporting charity football tournament , so really need your support to push on in this busy summer period.
The teams aim is to raise £20,000 for an end to end project to provide a clean water supply for a community in Kenya. The people of a small village in the district of Kajiado south of Nairobi, Kenya have to collect water from 10 KM away. There are over 1000 people and over 2000 livestock in this village. Last year Khalsa Aid delivered over 100 Tons of aid to this drought affected region and decided to look at a more long term sustainable project.
This is a very costly project hence why many organisations do not get involved but the with your help the people of this village will have guaranteed water for themselves and their livestock. This will ease many of the difficulties for the people who are in the high-risk drought zone. The total cost for this project is estimated to be around £15K to £20K however, the final total depends on the depth of good water.
I hope to raise over £1000 towards the project. I hope you can help by supporting this great project and making a generous donation.
