Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Backup Trust – this SCI charity is one of the leading groups providing support for those living with an SCI. Through telephone mentoring, family support, going into schools and working with youth, helping provide practical skills and advice such as wheelchair skills and day-to-day living through courses across the country they basically provide a serious amount of backup!

This is why I am challenging one able-bodied person to spend a whole day  from waking to sleeping  in my manual wheelchair. They are not allowed to use their hands, nor are they allowed to get out the chair except for absolute dire emergencies. I cannot push my wheelchair, therefore they cannot push the wheelchair. I want to raise AWARENESS of what it's like living with an SCI.

all money that you donate, in support of this person, will go directly to The Backup Trust. We will keep you posted on here of their progress throughout the day, thoughts and challenges that they face. That is, assuming someone out there is game enough to take it on!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
