Story
I have had the privilege to meet with street children in South Africa and to meet Palestinian children in the West Bank (Middle East) and see them smile despite experiencing physical, sexual and mental abuse from those that should know better. In Durban, South Africa, children have to survive on the streets having left home in search of a better life often experiencing further abuse. In the West Bank, Palestinian children have their homes bulldozed to make way for Israeli settlers, who take their parents land illegally forcing the families to live in tents with the Israeli Defence Force upholding these actions with guns and violence.
In both cases, I have been appalled at the cruelty of the authorities who allow this to happen. Justice and hope for these children have efficiently been eroded away.
Amos Trust is a small creative human rights organisation committed to challenging injustice, building hope and creating positive change all over the world.
Whilst their work isn't just focused on children, the issues of injustice always involve children who deserve to love life but are often prevented from doing so.
My Skydive seeks to raise money to support the work of Amos and in some how way help those kids that I have met (as well as the ones that I haven't met) , to find a way to realise their potential and create positive change.
Thanks for supporting me.
