Story
18 months ago my father-in-law, Les, died from a brain tumour. After a sudden collapse in September 2010 he sadly died 3 months later. His rapid deterioration and passing away was devastaing for the family. The last 10 days of his life were spent at the Princess Alice Hospice where the care and support provided both to Les and the family was amazing.
Princess Alice Hospice provides free care and support for terminal patients and their families. The staff at Princess Alice are special people. They provide first class care to all their patients as well as offering counselling to the familes in preparation for bereavement. Many of the staff are volunteers giving up their time for free to help others. To find out more please go to www.pah.org.uk
Princess Alice Hospice needs and deserves our support. As a result, I am going back to the desert and taking part in Racing the Planet - Jordan. This is a 250km foot race across the deserts of Jordan set over 6 stages and where you carry all the equipment and food you need for the entire race! To find out more and to follow my race blog go to www.4deserts.com/beyond/jordan
Not only does Princess Alice Hospice deserve your support but what could be a better use of your money than putting me through a week of misery! Also, Julia will be participating in a mini triathlon on May 6th to put herself through her own torture for PAH. So you get 2 for the price of 1!!
Please please give generously and thank you for your support.
