Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm walking the London Marathon course on the 27th July with 3 friends to raise money in memory of Julian Bailey who died of the brain disease Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD) in 2010. We'll be raising money for the CJD Support Network for the 4th year in a row, following charity walks being undertaken annually since Julian passed away.

Julian was a regular marathon runner, hence walking the 2013 London Marathon course to raise funds for the CJD Support Netwrok in his memory.

I got to know Julian through being a fellow member of the Bristol Rovers Supporters Group in London. He was one of the nicest people and always spent time to welcome new people to the group, got on well with everyone and often brought his harmonica along to add a bit of music to our monthly drinks.

He is always missed at the drinks and we talk about him when we go to games together. We all find it hard to believe he isnt around now.

CJD is a disease without a cure. Please help me raise money to fund support for families who unfortunately have a relative who contracts this disease. It would be fantastic to find a cure, so that other people like Julian do not have to die from this disease.

Thanks, and give as much as you can.
