Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

In September I will be cycling 330 miles over 4 days (for the metric minded, that's quite a long way) from London to Paris.

On the way there, I hope to raise money for the charity CRY - Cardiac Risk in the Young.  Every week 8 apparently fit and healthy young people die from undiagnosed heart conditions (sudden death syndrome) and CRY is committed to reducing these losses in future, and offers support to those who have suffered a loss.  This is an important charity and one that I want to support as sadly my much missed brother Laurence died suddenly at the age of 20 from a type of SDS.

I will be cycling with my good friend Allison Brown who is raising money for prostate cancer.  Click here for Allison's fundraising page http://www.justgiving.com/allisonlondontoparis

All of the money donated through this site will go directly to CRY as I have paid for the cost of the trip myself.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: CRY will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.

Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by the sudden cardiac death. We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.
