Story
Hi Guys!
Welcome to our JustGiving Page!
This was one of those ideas cunjured up in a pub, (as many of the best ideas are!) to do our bit for the boys and girls who are doing their bit.
Anyway pubs aside (for the moment) this is the plan
The two of us are going to walk the length of the country - Lands End to John O'Grouts to raise money for Help for Heroes. Now in theory this is a mere distance of 874Miles. However as always, in an attempt to out-do ourselves we will be constructing a route that will well exceed 1000miles! We invisage this taking a little over 6 weeks. The plan is to include as many major National Footpaths as possible in hope of bumping into as many generous walkers as possible.
A rough route is as follows;
Southwest Coast Path
Offa's Dyke (Wales)
Pennine Way (With a possible detour to see the nice people in the Lake District!)
Great Glen (Fort William - Inverness, possibly in a canoe, to target all those nice people with boats!)
North (Thats right, Just North.)
We will be updating this page as the planning progresses, with routes etc. It is our aim to alert as many local papers publications as possible to our routes with times and places, and hopefully get the locals to come and make generous donations, (Thats right we will be carrying collecting tins all the way!) and perhaps join us for the day.
As you can see we've set ourselves a massive target, but you can help us out, every little helps! Its important that we reach this target and exceed it as this money goes to help rehabilitate injured soldiers and get them back on their feet. The bravery that these men and women show on a daily basis far exceeds anything that many of us can comprehend, they deserve the best possible care when they need it and we can help provide it for them. Help for Heroes is a fantastic charity and is doing an incredible job facilitating the care and rehabilitaion of these injured soldiers, but they cant do it without people like you helping them!
So please dig deep and donate now, anything you can spare.
Thats all for now folks, we will keep you all posted on our progress
