Story
Ok, so here it goes...
In April 2013, I will be undertaking the biggest challenge of my life. The challenge is quite simply, to cycle 300 miles in 6 days, along and beside the Great Wall of China, over rough terrain and up and down, lots of very steep hills!
After attending the Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research (LLR) Conference, I was in awe of the challenge that Louis Metcalfe set himself, cycling from London to Lisbon. No mean feat for a 17 year old! As soon as I got home I went straight on the LLR website to see what I could do...and hey presto found The Great Wall Cycle Challenge.
Mum is my inspiration, she has lived with Leukaemia (CML) for 6 years and because of LLR, she is on a drug that has kept her type of Leukaemia under control. I want to be able to help the many other families that have to go through this awful ordeal and will do all I can to help LLR 'beat blood cancer'.
