Why does Mencap need its very own Santa?

To remind people that its a special time of year and that its a time to think of others.   

What special qualities do you have that would make you the perfect Santa for 2007?
 
Like many Mencap staff and volunteers I selflessly give up my holiday every year to bring Christmas cheer to millions of children and adults around the world.
Unfortunately they don't appear to have put a chimney on the new Peterborough office. But in the spirit of  Mencap’s community, where there's a will there's always a way! 
       
Santa is responsible for upholding the magic and spirit of Christmas. If you could grant the Mencap community one wish, what would it be?
 
This is a tricky question as I am sure we all, as individuals, all wish for something different that would make our Christmas that little more special this year.  If I could grant one wish that would reach our whole community it would be for everyone outside of Mencap to know what we stand for as an organisation, what we strive to achieve everyday.  We want to reach younger people and families and work in unison to fight for the rights of people with a learning disability.
