Story

Hi,

Big thanks to all who supported me on my recent trek you will be pleased to know that including gift aid, between your donations and my blisters we collectively raised £3927.14.

So inspired by my experience of trekking the Great Wall of China, punctuated by hearing stories from hospice workers and individuals who's families have been cared for and supported by the service,  that I feel the ever more pressing need to support them during the current economic time when funding is at it's most difficult and challenging.

At 5895m and with bitterly cold temperatures Kilimanjaro will be a difficult and all new experience, not that the wall was easy!  My knees are testifying to that at the moment.  Doc appointment to get them realigned arranged!

I have until March 19th 2010 to raise the funds and would be extremely appreciative of your continued support and generosity towards the hospice and my quest to raise money for them.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Ayrshire Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me.  Alternatively come into JMC Financial Services Office at 35a Ritchie Street, West Kilbride where we can give you a donation envelope.  You can also send money direct to the hospice if you quote that it is for my Kilimanjaro Climb

Many thanks.

John

About the charity

The Ayrshire Hospice

RCN SC011390
Our charity cares for adults in Ayrshire and Arran with life-limiting illnesses. We help them live as actively as possible to the end of their lives, however long that may be. Hospice care is open to all. It’s free for patients but it’s not free to provide. So we need to raise over £4M each year.
