Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
OK I'm MAD so my children keep saying but what a chance to run my first marathon in what is arguably the world’s most famous, at 70 and a few weeks. Wouldn't you?
Maybe not, but here's an incentive, two friends over a meal whilst working in Valence pledged £50 each on completion of my first marathon, on hearing this on return to the UK two other colleagues pledged the same.
It seems a long time since the rectal cancer was removed, but its only about 18 months and 10 months since I took up running - I have done a 10K, the Bristol Half and the Great North. People have been so generous in sponsoring the various charities and though it has been hard sometimes I really I enjoy running.
So will you make all the winter slog in training worth while by donating to Leukaemia CARE -- it's up to 40 miles a week in all winter weather from now till April 26. That's got to be worth something even if I never did any more!
