Everest is the highest mountain in the world.  Many of us will never see it let alone climb it or even go part way.  In April 2014 my daughter Ellie and I will trek to Everest Base Camp starting out in Lukla in Nepal and reaching Everest Base Camp in Nepal (17,598 ft) and the nearby peak of Kala Patthar (18,519 ffeet) in around 10 days   The trek is raising some money for a great cause and we both really appreciate your help.

We sponsor a boy called Nanku and you can see some pictures of him on this page in one of the poorest areas of India through an amazing Charity called Tong-Len.  

Nanku was only 6 when he was invited into the hostel and started his eductaion.  His father was dead and his mother and brothers and sisters were living in a shack and collecting rubbish to survive.  Today, he is at school, has an education, a uniform and a future that probably felt as far away as Everest does to most of us.  The hostel looks afer him, is his home and feeds and educates him and keeps him healthy through a programme of meidcal aid.

Every single penny or cent raised goes direct to the Charity and nothing will be used to fund our trek.  A colleague is a trustee and has been to see the work they do and it is just amazing.  Please help with a donation.  Nothing is too small and if you're  a tax payer, then even better as you can check the box and we get gift aid which means the government chips in too.
