Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Saturday May 24 2014 I will be doing a 235-mile Charity bike ride from Edinburgh Castle and finishing on May 26 at The Lambton Arms, Sherburn Village, Durham, In Aid of St Cuthbert’s Hospice.
Would you please be so kind as to sponsor me and help St Cuthbert’s Hospice with the fantastic work they do.
St. Cuthbert’s Hospice, have been helping the people of Durham to make every day count since 1988. St. Cuthbert’s Hospice provides a range of care and support services to individuals, as well as to their relatives and carers, helping people to cope with life limiting illnesses.
St Cuthbert’s is a local charity and make no charge for their services, relying on fundraising and community support in order to continue to do their essential work.
The hospice holds a special place in my heart as it where my mum spent her last days 4 years ago, when we lost her to stomach cancer.
I remember my mum vividly saying how nice the gardens surrounding the hospice were, the tranquillity of the place and how fantastic all the staff were.
We knew that she spent her last days in peace and comfort and although heart breaking for us it helped my dad cope massively and she died with dignity.
I will never forget going to see her with my brother and our children knowing she was finally at peace from that terrible disease at St Cuthbert’s Hospice.
