Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Please spare a thought for those that have been left without anything this Christmas...
The scale of destruction left by typhoon Haiyan on November 8 is unimaginable, with thousands dead, and millions more left homeless.
A week on and the death toll continues to rise – lack of water and food, and the spread of water-bourne diseases such as typhoid and cholera puts an estimated 5.4 million children and their families at risk.
Whilst we are seeing the initial relief efforts filter through, there are still millions more that need help to survive as the repair work begins. Please donate whatever you can, and give them a lifelife.
By donating to this cause via Save The Children:
£25 could buy two families the essentials to store and purify drinking water for 1 month
£50 could buy a family of five basic household items like mosquito nets, blankets, candles, and children's clothes.
£100 could buy three hygiene kits containing soap, shampoo, toilet paper, toothbrushes, nappies and underwear to keep families clean and healthy.
Any donation will be much appreciated - If it compels you to help, please do.
So on DECEMBER 25th 2013 my family and I will be running 10k along and around London's River Thames - whatever the weather! So let's hope for a white Christmas? ALL ARE WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE - we would love for you to join us! =)
