Way back in 2000 Dave and Will set off on a trip from Lands End to John O'Groats. You may well have sponsored us on that ride. We collected for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and once again we ask you to give generously as we attempt the reverse trip this September. CFT do excellent work but there is still plenty more for them to do.

In 2000 we had little idea what we were doing so took a couple of bikes of doubtful suitability, about 50kg of kit and set off. It took us 9 days. If you are interested you can read last time's "blog"

This time we are older (combined age 98 years) and a bit wiser. Alan (Will's youthful and energetic father) has volunteered to act as our road manager and will take our kit in his car leaving us to do the easy bit and pedal our thoroughbred racing bikes 120 miles a day in a southerly direction. So this time our target is to complete in 7 days. 2 whole days faster!

Technology has moved on since our last ride so you will be able to follow our progress on Twitter and Facebook assuming we can find a mobile signal wherever we happen to be.
