Story
I've been a little quiet on the fundraising front, so I thought it was time to get fit and do something about it!
Despite saying 'I'm never doing that *adds a swear word* distance again', I've booked a spot in the Bewl Water olympic distance triathlon....1500m swim - 40k bike - 10k run... on Sunday 5th August. (Nice and hot!)
And of course, I'm doing it for my little friend Lily, who is now 6 years old, and is still suffering from the effects of Rett Syndrome.
Any money donated will go straight to Reverse Rett, who continue to help families affected by the life restricting Rett Syndrome, and who are working hard to speed treatments and find a cure.
Rett Syndrome is a neurological or brain disorder which affects apparently healthy little girls around the age of 6-18 months. The condition usually follows a path of progression where skills, such as speech, hand use, and mobility, are lost. Most girls do not speak at all. Some have a few words. Some are left with some hand use. And some girls never walk.
So please dig deep and donate a few pounds. Or at least come and watch, and laugh at me in my tri suit...
