Thanks for visiting my fundraising page, and thankyou so much to everyone who has kindly supported me at such short notice. I didnt think I was going to make the run due to a knee injury and consequent lack of training. But now that the knee is feeling better...well I just thought it was an opportunity that I may not have next year, and its an event I have long wanted to be part of. On top of that I read an article recently on the escallating food crisis and water shortage in Africa that pulled on my heart, especially as I know that Christian Aid have an emergency appeal addressing that very crisis. My sister Kerry, who asked me to run with her works for this wonderful charity and the more I learn about them the more I am impressed. They certainly mean business, and they are doing much more than just supplying aid..they work at grass roots level with local people creating infrastructure and educational programs designed to really change the future for hundreds of thousands of lives, as well as campaigning our own ministers to push for the changes so desperately needed in the the area of climate change and global food distribution. So I just wanted to assure you that every pound of your donation is going to be used in a way that really counts by people who care at a deep level.
Thankyou again for your support, it really is helping me to get the old legs out on Sunday, my aim is simply to try to keep up with my sister, who happens to be the most competetive flynn I know!
With much appreciation
Jerome
