Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

On Friday 13th June 2008 I will be attempting to climb the highest mountains in each of Scotland, England and Wales in under 24 hours. The mountains in question are Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon and this act of madness is known as the Three Peaks Challenge; it should only be undertaken for a really worthwhile cause, in my case this is to raise money for Leukaemia Research.

I will be accompanied by Ian Kennedy (also walking) and by Tim Matthews (logistics, driver and moral support). I should point out at this time that even if Ian has to carry me up and down the last mountain, which is not impossible, I will still be claiming my sponsorship.

Wickes have supported Leukaemia Research since October 2006. Colleagues, customers and suppliers have raised over £400,000 to date with their fantastic dedication and commitment to fundraising and now it’s my turn!

If you needed any more motivation than the plight of leukaemia sufferers then bear in mind that I’m not as fit as I should be and it’s going to hurt, so please be generous!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Leukaemia Research gets your money faster and, if you’re a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Please sponsor me now!
