Jen's Skydive Sponsorship
Fundraising for Teenage Cancer Trust
Fundraising for Teenage Cancer Trust
On Friday 10 July, I am taking part in the Skydive for
Stephen. Before he died, Stephen Sutton MBE had
set his heart on breaking the record for the most number of tandem skydives in
one day. Though he had worked with Hibaldstow Airfield to achieve this feat,
unfortunately Stephen wasn’t able to make it a reality in the time he had left.
Inspired by Stephen and at the request of his
family, Teenage Cancer Trust are organising a world-record breaking skydiving
event for summer 2015 and I am getting involved as part of Team Boogie. Team
Boogie is Adam Slack (The Struts), Ben Husted and Clare Maxwell (Raw Power
Management), Dan Flint (You Me At Six), Elyar Fox, Matt Donnelly and Rob
Damiani (Don Broco) and Jen Walker (Teenage Cancer Trust).
Individually we have all been big supporters of Teenage Cancer Trust for some
time but now we are all joining forces to form Team Boogie. Between us we hope
to raise at least £5,000 but we need your help. Every single penny will go
towards helping teenagers and young adults with cancer throughout the UK.
Why ‘Team Boogie’? A boogie is a gathering of skydivers for
a single purpose (skydiving), focused on fun rather than
competition.
I'm incredibly excited to tick something off
the bucket list while raising money for such a worthwhile cause but also
ridiculously nervous, so please sponsor me and help me get in that plane!
