Story
I am not a particularly athletic person, but last year when my working life became more flexible and I hit the big 60, I decided to take on the challenge of raising money for the Bristish Legion through this 300 mile bike ride.
My reason for supporting the British Legion? Well both my parents served in the Second World War and my Father continued to be a professional soldier for most of his working life, so I do feel a bit connected.
My Mother thinks I'm mad, (I think quite a few other people do as well). It is certainly going to be a challege, particularly as I live on the edge of the Fens where the land is flat. I'm told there are lots of hills between London and Paris!
I am busy cycling about, "in training" and I will give this page updates of my progress.
Maybe a picture as proof.....
My big worry at the moment is how am I going to get my bike to London to start the ride?
