<p><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US;" lang="EN-US">After being affected by the Cockermouth floods in 2009, on the 18th September i'll be cycling 40 miles (with my friend Ange as <strong>'Team Betty & Bernard' - we'll be wearing tutus!!</strong>) in the CCF/Jennings River Ride event for Cockermouth Flood Action Group (for more info see: </span><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: #353535; font-size: 11.5pt; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US;" lang="EN-US"><a href="http://www.cockermouthfloodactiongroup.org.uk/"><span style="color: #0000ff;">www.cockermouthfloodactiongroup.org.uk</span></a></span><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US;" lang="EN-US">), to help raise funds towards the town’s £5.2 million flood defence scheme. In order to secure Government funding the community has to raise <strong>£300,000</strong>. Cumbria Community Foundation has been very generous and kick started Cockermouth Flood Action Group’s fundraising efforts by giving £100,000, which leaves us with a target of <strong>£200,000</strong>. Please help....</span></p>
