We have been interested in Ocean Star's work with pre-school children in Sri Lanka since my sister Maureen became involved. The charity has set would-be fundraisers the challenge of raising money in any way they like based on the number 250. We have chosen to cycle 250 miles (in stages!) before 23rd January 2021. Anything we raise will help Ocean Stars buy bags and school uniforms for 1000 pre-school children as well as resources to support the learning of pupils in their 26 pre-schools.

We have already completed 154 miles, stopping for half-time snacks at Jordanstown Loughshore Park, Lisburn Island Centre, Nendrum, Whiterock and Islandhill. We are looking forward to completing the challenge in the next weeks, even though the hill up to our house at the end of each trip is actually steeper every time we're on it! We will be very grateful for any support you can give us.
