Hi Everybody......

So, in November, I'm heading to Kenya with the charity Moving Mountains to assist with the  renovation and building work of Nanyuki Street Children's Home. This Kenya adventure is going to be very active, learning new skills including brick laying, plastering and fitting windows to ensure the succesful development of the home. In addition some days will be spent in an orphanage  and surrounding local schools in Siaya where time will be spent getting to know the children. We will then be taking a group from the orphanage to Malindi for their first ever seaside holiday!

My Aim: I am setting myself the challenge of cycling over 50 miles of the beautiful beaches and Jurrassic coast of Dorset, lots of you will know that i enjoy a good bit of mountatin biking, but most definately not over 50 miles in a day! This will encompass lots of dirt tracks and road, very fun descents but not forgetting the gruelling hills of the coast that i will have to make it up before i can enjoy coming back down! Although this seems a little premature sending this out the charity needs to know how much money has been raised by mid september, I therefore aim to do this by the end of september and will let you know the date that it is taking place. Dave will be cycling with me to raise money and assure you that i will complete this, however many punctures i may get on the way and pedal through the numbness that my bottom will suffer!

What am i asking from you? This fantastic charity project is reliant on the amount of fundraising that i can achieve, the more money raised the bigger the project we can take on and the more we can offer the street kids of Kenya on this very special trip. Every penny YOU donate will go directly to the charity for materials, contributing to the project and of course making this trip happen (NONE of it will be for my personal expenses of the trip).
