*** Many thanks to GlaxoSmithKline for their very generous donation of £10,000 to this fund ***
On 17th May 2006 Jane Starr died suddenly, aged just 33. We still do not know how or why this happened – all we know is that her heart stopped without any warning. We are all shocked and devastated, not only that this should happen, but also now that we have learned that every week in the UK eight apparently fit and healthy young people die from undiagnosed heart conditions.
Last Christmas Jane and her sister Karen bought presents for Mike Aylott (Jane’s fiancé) and Stuart Kitteringham (Karen’s boyfriend) to partake in a parachute jump on 8th June. Since Jane passed away we were all even more determined to go ahead with this in Jane's memory and raise some money for CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) in the process. The jump was successfully completed - see report, and those with a strong disposition can view this short video clip.
It is still not too late to donate generously – if this can prevent a similar tragedy occurring to another family, Jane will not have died in vain.
Many thanks for your support.
