Story
After dabbling in and out of running for over 10 years I have finally decided to take on the ultimate challenge - all 26.2 miles of the London Marathon - for a very worthwhile cause: Just A Drop!
Since 1998 Just A Drop has provided hundreds of thousands of people with clean, safe water - undertaking over 65 water aid projects and helping over 1 million children and their families in 29 countries including India, Nepal, Kenya, Ethiopia, Niger, Senegal and Zambia.
Having travelled a fair bit in many of those regions myself, I have seen first hand how critical the work of charities such as Just A Drop is and how it improves the lives of communities through it’s fund raising. But in case your still not convinced here are a three facts to think about:
- 2.75 million people die from diseases every year because of unsafe water.
- 1.4 million children die from diarrhoea alone every year because of unsafe water.
- 1 child dies around every 20 seconds as a result of water-borne diseases.
Even for a honed athlete such as myself (lol) it’s going to be tough, training 6 days a week and running in the region of 120 to 130 miles a month!
So Donate Now and then why not spread the word, follow my training progress, leave me some messages of support (#jadrun) and find out more about the charity at:

Those of you who know me well will know that I have never asked for sponsorship for any of the runs I have done in the past and those who have only known me a while or not at all, I wont be asking again any time soon!
So PLEASE give generously, £10 is all it takes to provide a child with clean, safe water for life - help me reach my target of providing this for 100 children!
Many thanks
Jamie Bell
Ps, Big thanks to all my corporate sponsors for their generous donations:
