Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I will be doing 8 endurance events from November till April.
Firstly I will climb (TAB, like yomping but faster with more weight over longer distances) the highest mountain peak in the United Arab Emirates. Jebal Yibir is just over 5000ft, which means I will have to ascend and then descend 7 times so that I can equall the altitude of Everest which is just over 29k. I will cover 100 miles and climb 29,000 ft over a few days, and just for a bit more fun I will have a 35lb bergan on at all times. DONE IN 45 HRS 50 MINS
I am also running the Dubai full Marathon(DONE IN 5HRS 30MINS), Dubai half (DONE 2HRS 19 MINS), Abu Dhabi half (DONE 2HRS 40 MINS), Ras Al Khaimah half marathon (DONE 2 hrs 36 mins) and Zayed International half marathon (Done in 2hrs 30mins) all with a 35lb bergan to get some exposure and potential sponsors for the big one next April.
I have just signed up for the Wadi Bih (DONE IN 12.5 HRS) relay race in February as a solo runner. 72km to the top of one of the UAE's highest mountains and of course carrying the big bag of pain.
I have a confirmed place on the Marathon Des Sables, Possibly one of the hardest endurance races in the world. It will take place in Morrocco, across the Saharan desert April 2-12 2010. The MDS is a self sufficient endurance race covering 250km's over 6/7 days carrying everything you need to survive this harsh enviroment with tempratures reaching 40 degs. Mega! So dig deep and lets help our injured servicemen.
My fundraising target is 29,000 dirhams which is around 5000 GBP.
So please sponsor me now!
