Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have, some might say foolishly, agreed to combine my two
passions of music and cycling while doing something for the benefit of others. So I shall be joining the Heavy Metal Truants on their annual charity ride from London to Castle Donnington (near Nottingham).
For those of you who know about my cycling exploits in
Australia – this will be nowhere near as easy.
It’s a 170 mile (270km) ride in Britain at the start of summer. So that probably means rain. Lots of rain. And wind. And cold. And endless lumpy hills. And to make it harder I shall be doing it on a standard-issue borrowed hybrid bike not some full-carbon race-ready dream machine.
The three charities the ride supports are:
- Nordoff Robbins
- Teenage Cancer Trust
- Childline
Any donation you could give, no matter how big or small,
would be very much appreciated, both by me personally and by all those that will benefit from the funds raised. Those of you in the UK – please don’t forget the gift aid!
Thanks again for your help – it really will make a difference.
Cheers,
JJ
