Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Throughout April, I will be cycling from the North to the South of Vietnam (2,000 km!) from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, to raise money for several charities who are helping the country's poorest children to have access to education and to break the cycle of poverty.
Please donate any amount that you can or wish to; every pound/dollar/dong makes a difference.
From the soles of my feet to the axles of my wheels, I thank you for your support!
Kindly,
James Ferris
Below you can find more information about the charities that your money will be helping support:
www. saigonchildren.com :enables disadvantaged children and young adults in Vietnam to overcome barriers to education through building schools, providing scholarships and vocational training.
www.bluedragon.org : rescues vulnerable kids in crisis as a result of human trafficking, slavery and extreme poverty, re-uniting them with families, providing recovery services and practical solutions to everyday struggles.
www.koto.com : 'Know One, Teach One' - empowers at risk young people by providing life skills and practical training in hospitality.
www.liveandgive.eu : Runs schools and orphanages to help disadvantaged children in rural Vietnam.
www.facebook.com/ila.communitynetwork : Co-ordinates fundraising activities, provides scholarships and classes in shelters and orphanages to give disadvantaged children access to education.
Riders cover ALL of their own expenses, so absolutely 100% of the money raised goes directly to the charities. Any donation, however small, will be hugely appreciated by me, the charities, and the children of Vietnam!
