James Billingham (Achy Breaky Bears) London Triathlon with Team Ramsey page

London Triathlon with Team Ramsey · 22 July 2017
We are The Achy Breaky Bears a group of not so elite athletes and generally bad blokes and women from Northampton (plus other areas of the country now) who will be tackling a number of challenges that will push us to our limits !!!
The latest event the team will be taking on is the 2017 London Triathlon with Team Ramsey - something which i think 1 out of the 25 registered has attempted before. Most of the team are below average swimmers and haven't rode a bicycle since childhood so this is going to be the most interesting challenge to date!!!
Over the past few years we have been in training for various events around the UK and have been pushing ourselves to the limits as we have entered all of the UK Tough Mudder events, Pain & Suffering, Spartan Race, Mud Sweat and Beers, Chase the Yeti, Sole Destroyer, Toughest, Mud 7, Tough Guy, Ram Runs, Nuclear Races, Reaper Events, Pukka Races, Forest Warrior, Rat Race and anything else that we see that will cause us a lot of pain !!!
We train very hard for these events and some of our training includes swimming in frozen lakes, assault courses in the snow, training, running and exercising with gas masks on amongst other things so we are definitely earning the money that you donate !!!
We will be completing the course to raise money for GOSH as the son of team captain Mark Pittam has been under their care over the past 5 years and Great Ormond Street are doing an amazing job so if people can dig as deep as possible that would be amazing even if its only £1 it all helps towards this great cause !!!
If you would like to join The Achy Breaky Bears on any of their adventures at all then pls just get in touch and ask !!!
