Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. My name is James Austin, and on the 15th March 2016 my life changed completely when I was told I had a large brain tumour on my right frontal lobe. I had brain surgery to have the majority of it removed and on the 28th of March a biopsy revealed that I had a stage 4 Glioblastoma, one of the most aggressive forms of brain cancer.

I then had a combination of radiotherapy and chemotherapy and now have decided to use alternative medicines to fight this as best I can. I have since gone back to work, I continue to play football and generally try to live the best life possible!

Throughout my treatment I have been overwhelmed by the support from my family, friends, charities and even strangers. CLIC Sargent stepped in during my treatment to offer me emotional and financial advice when I needed it most. I have decided to set up this page to try and give something back to people who have supported me.

A group of my mum's friends, lead by Wilma Ford, have organised a Garden Fete fundraiser with half the proceeds going to CLIC Sargent. The fete will take place on the 5th August 2016 12-3pm, at the Old Children's home Risk Street, Park Hall. Please feel free to pop along!

I have been asked to set this page up for anyone who won't be able to make it on Saturday and would like to make make a donation.

Thank you everyone for all your support... it really does mean the world to me!!
