You thought it would never happen!   We are very excited and are looking forward to celebrating our wedding on 26 April 2012.  We are really lucky that we have everything we need already, so instead of presents, if you really want to give us a gift we would welcome donations to one of two charities.  We have each picked one that supports an issue close to our hearts.

Lynne has chosen Parkinson’s UK.  Her Father suffered for many years from Parkinson’s disease and he was always very keen to participate in any research that might lead to a cure.  Sadly he died before any cure was discovered, so he won’t be able to join us to celebrate our wedding. 

For more than 40 years Parkinson’s UK has been working to find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson's disease.   As the largest charity funder of  Parkinson's research in the UK, so far, the charity has invested more than £50million in groundbreaking research.  And by 2014, that figure will have reached £75million.

Parkinson’s UK funds research to advance understanding of Parkinson's and what causes it.  The charity’s research also improves treatments to make life easier for people living with Parkinson's.  Over the next 5 years Parkinson’s UK has an ambitious research strategy to push the search for a cure to a new level.  You can learn more about Parkinson’s UK from the weblink:
