Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit this Just Giving page.

On Saturday May 29th, 2010, an intrepid team of people from the I.T. Services department at Edge Hill University (and one of their family members) took on the Three Peaks of Yorkshire: Pen-y-Ghent (2278', Whernside 2415' and Ingleborough 2373' + lots of mud at a location dubiously named Black Dub Moss!). In aid of Mountain Rescue of England and Wales.

Most of us made it through the pain and disgusting weather to complete the course in better than respectable times.  Thanks to all that helped through their encouragement and support and a big thank you for all of you whom have so kindly donated money to Mountain Rescue of England and Wales.

Mountain Rescue are an highly devoted and highly trained organisation of individuals that willingly donate their time to rescuing people whom have become stranded on the hills, fells and mountains of England and Wales – they do this for free!

Donating through Just Giving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Just Giving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
