ALHAMDULILLAH TARGET HAS NOW BEEN REACHED!
WE ARE STILL COLLECTING, ANY EXTRA WILL HELP TOWARDS PROVIDING A BETTER SERVICE INSHALLAH.
Thank you for visiting Rochdale Dawah Centre's fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online for the Masjid Project in Gambia.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor RDC: Muslim Hands will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
The Rochdale Dawah Centre have their very own project - The Gambia Mosque Appeal. By donating today you will help build a mosque in a very needy rural village in the Gambia, which will accommodate up to 200 people. These villages typically have a large population of Muslims and such a project will give the people of Gambia a place for teaching and educating the young and old alike about Islam.
£5,000 will pay for the construction of the Masjid, and £2,000 for wudu facilities.
Here are a few religious merits of this wonderful project:
1. A sign that one is a believer (Mu’min):
“18 Only he should visit or tend God’s houses of worship who believes in God and the Last Day, and is constant in prayer, and spends in charity, and stands in awe of none but God: for [only such as] these may hope to be among the right-guided.”
Chapter of “Repentance” (9:18)
Commentary:
• Construction and maintenance of the Masājid is the duty of Muslims only.
• The desire of establishing a Masjid is a sign of true faith.
2. Recompensed with a house in Paradise:
Messenger of God (may God bless and grant him peace) said,
“Whoever constructs a Masjid for Allāh, Allāh will construct for him a house in Paradise.”
‘Agreed upon’ by both Imāms al-Bukhārī and Muslim (RH).
3. Forms a reoccurring / continuous charity:
On the authority of Abū Hurairah (may God be pleased with him) who said, the Messenger of God (may God bless and grant him peace) said,
“When the son of Adam dies, his deeds come to an end, except for three: [1] a recurring / continuous charity, [2] or knowledge from which benefit continues to be reaped or [3] a righteous child who prays him.”
Imām Muslim (RH) related it.
Many thanks for your support.
