Following in the footsteps of Simon D'souza's massed musical happenings, this year Mark Bassey and Beccy Perez Rork present Imagine A World ... raising money for the Chestnut Tree House Children's Hospice in Sussex. The performance will take place on Sunday 5th June in the afternoon at the Brighton Open Air Theatre as part of a one-day BOAT Music Festival.  Sign up here if you want to play or get involved  http://markbassey.com/imagine_2016.html

In 2003 Simon D'souza organised an enormous musical happening called This Beautiful World. It was a large scale community project involving amateur and professional musicians from the Brighton area. The following year 2004 he created another spectacular event entitled 100 Saxophones which helped start a highly successful saxophone workshop run by Simon and Beccy Perez Rork (Saxshop). 10 years on in 2014, battling with a brain tumour, Simon helped set up 100 Saxophones Rides Again, along with Beccy and Mark Bassey. Sadly Simon died in May 2014 just days before the performance. 100 saxophones happened last year thanks to Mark and Beccy and all the wonderful  musicians and helpers involved.  We are all sure he would have loved to see the community music projects evolving and  continuing linked to his name.
