I’m A Banker Get Me Outta Here (2009)

A group of about 100 friends from various banking institutions are planning another weekend of support at the Little Haven’s Children Hospice nr. Southend-on-Sea, 

From Saturday 7^th to Sunday 8^th March 2009 we will spend 24 hours at Little Haven’s (sleeping at the grounds in a Marquee) offering support by doing work at the hospice as well as providing entertainment for the children and their families.

Some of the tasks that have been carried out in the past include:

·         General maintenance and repairs in the Hospice buildings

·         Gardening and tidying in the Hospice grounds

We also organise a party for the ill children and their siblings, this includes:

• Fancy dress costumes
• Face painting
• Clay modelling

The weekend in March 2009 will be the fifth event that we have hosted and we hope that it will be better than last year. In the four events to date we have raised approx £450,000 and hope to smash an additional £99,999 in 2009
