BUPA Great North Run

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
I'm running this years Great North Run (half marathon) in support of the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS). The reason I have chosen to support NRAS over other charities is because of the great work that they do for not just sufferers of RA but also Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis.
If I manage to reach my pledge then we will have paid the cost of several resource packs for health professionals to provide patient support, the production of an information toolkit for a volunteer, taken a large chunk out of the cost of funding a new focus group to help develop a new NRAS publication, and we will have made a huge help in supporting the vital helpline service which provides contact, research and a tailored follow up to RA sufferers.
The reason NRAS is so important to me is because my mother has had RA for over 25 years and so I've had plenty of experience in seeing the struggles and hardships that sufferers have to go through while carrying out simple day to day activities that anybody else might think nothing of.
