Great North Run is a half-marathon from the centre of Newcastle to the coast, and is probably the largest (in terms of numbers of runners - 34,000 i think) in UK.  It's a fantastic event so please come along and cheer!  I'm aiming for a sub-2 hour time and I have been training!

Christian Aid has over 100 runners this year - you'll be able to see the red running vests for miles (ok, centimetres) around.
