Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm Mary-Ann from Holiday Dogs Home Boarding and have decided to raise money for the Animal Health Trust by holding a charity event, with the help of www.doghousesuffolk.co.uk.  Our intention is to raise money and awareness to help AHT within their investigations into Seasonal Canine Illess (SCI).

During autumn 2009 - 2010, several dogs which have been walked in the woodlands suddenly became ill.  In some cases dogs did not recover.  Cases of the illness, named Seasonal Canine Illness (SCI) are generally seen from August to November.

Although information about SCI has been in the newspapers, many owners have never heard of the illness and unaware of the symptoms to look out for.  This has unfortunately resulted in many dogs becoming extremely ill, and for some have died.

It's important that all dog owners are aware of the symptoms which are: VOMITING, DIARRHOEA, LETHARGY and should contact a vet immediately as clinical signs come on incredibly quickly, within a few hours of access to woodland.

We shall therefore be holding a group dog walk on Sunday 4th December, meeting at Manor Terrace Car Park, Felixstowe at 11am for a leisurely walk around the Languard Fort area.  If you do not own a dog then please feel free to come along as the walk is open to anyone who wishes to raise money for the Animal Health Trust!

If you would like to join in then please contact me, Mary-Ann on 07840 871547 or via my contact page on www.holidaydogs.co.uk. You will be sent a registration and a sponsor form - alternatively you can make a donation here.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Please feel free to donate as little or as much as you would like, afterall any donation is grately appreciated! Thanks very much, Mary-Ann :)
