Story

Thank you for visiting one of our two fundraising pages.

This September we (Hilary, Acer and Alice) are going to cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise money for two charities close to our hearts: C-R-Y and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Joe, a close friend of Hilary's, died from a sudden heart attack, whilst Acer's best friend Steve (as well as Steve's brother) has cystic fibrosis. We are thus undertaking this 1,000 mile cycle ride to raise some money for these worthy causes.

To raise money for two charities requires two separate justgiving pages, and so we have this one (raising money for C-R-Y) and the following (raising money for the CF Trust):

Please donate to either (or both!) as you see fit. We would like to raise a similar amount for both charities and as much money as possible.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor us: our chose charities will get your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure that 25% in Gift Aid plus a 3% supplement is added to your donation.

Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by the sudden cardiac death. We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.
