Story
Short story:
Walking places to raise money to help people in need. I chose The British Red Cross Society this time, since the events in Libya, and more recently in Japan, have stressed how often people want to help people in trouble but don't know how to. The Red Cross network helps people all over the world, and they need your suuport. GO!
Long story:
In Autumn of 2010, my Dad, his mate Malc, and I, attempted the Coast to Coast walk across England. We were forced to quit five days into the eleven day trek after my knee gave out. My Dad and I are now finishing the walk in two three days bursts, the first of which we're leaving for in a few hours.
In hillwalking terms, days 6 to 8 of the Coast to Coast aren't all that challenging, but my body is in the worst condition it's been in for several years as I've recently been struggling with depression and anxiety and haven't been keeping it up to it's usual level. As much as anything else, this is a challenge for me to show myself I can still enjoy all the things I used to without letting my anxiety limit me and hold me back from living my life to it's fullest potential.
Basically, it's going to be easy on my body, but it has the potential to kick seven bells out of my mind. We'll see.
Anyway, please donate as it's an excellent cause, and please let people know.
