Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
The arrival of Covid-19 means it’s been a tough, long twelve months for most of us with little let up, but with the vaccination programme in full swing there is light at the end of the tunnel.
We're hiking to help!
So we, at the Really Helpful Marketing Company thought, what better time than now to set ourselves a challenge and combine doing something together as a team, while helping others less fortunate than ourselves? We’ve decided to organise a charity fundraising event and give something back to our local community. On Friday 11th – Saturday 12th June 2021 we’ll be walking the full 102-mile length of the Cotswold Way, in aid of Gloucestershire-based charity CCP www.ccp.org.uk. We’ll be in pairs and small groups in a relay format, walking through the night, with the aim of completing the route in around 40 hours. Most of us are not long-distance walkers so this will be quite a challenge for us to keep up the pace and complete the trail within the allotted time.
Caring for Communities and People
As our ethos at the Really Helpful Marketing Company is to be ‘really helpful’ we wanted to support a local charity whose values were also based on helping people. This is why the money raised will be specifically supporting CCP’s Accommodation Based Services – you can read more about this project below.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks in advance for your support.

About CCP’s Accommodation Based Services programme:
Caring for Communities & People (CCP) exists to tackle the causes and effects of homelessness, family breakdown and exclusion. With its head office in Gloucestershire, it has projects across the county as well as in Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Bristol, Wiltshire, and Dorset.
The CCP Accommodation Based Services (ABS) is the longest-running service that the charity provides – the organisation originally being named “Cheltenham Youth Homeless Project” when it began in 1989. Its founder recognised that people as young as 16 were sleeping rough around the town after a breakdown in family relationships or foster placements. Each year it supports 114 adults and young people with CCP accommodation who would otherwise be homeless.
As well as providing safe and secure housing accommodation, its staff support individuals in developing sufficient skills to prepare them for independent living. When an individual moves on from the ABS they should be able to cook, budget, feel confident in themselves and understand how to manage their mental health, challenging behaviours and tricky relationships.
Often when somebody moves into CCP accommodation, they have minimal possessions. The charity relies on voluntary donations to enable it to provide individuals with clothing, suitcase, laptop etc. to give them confidence in their fresh start. Any donation to the Really Helpful Marketing Company’s Cotswold Way
‘HikeToHelp’ relay will be incredibly helpful and significant to a young person facing difficulties.
