Story

Over the Easter weekend (20 - 23rd March) June Wicks, Catriona Finlay and Liz Marsden are going to walk half (the most difficult half !) of the West Highland Way.

We are starting in Tyndrum and for the next 4 days walking over 50 miles across some of Scotlands most "rugged" highlands.  We will walk through Glen Coe, up Devil's Staircase, past a few lochs and finally passing Ben Nevis and hopefully ending up, with blister and all, in Fort William.

Our three sons, Andrew, Alistair and Ben are in the same year as a little girl called Jemima who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) last summer.  Her bright smiling face has inspired us to support her charity, Jemima Invites, which has been created to fund a fellowship in Jemima's name researching the cause and treatment of ALL.  Jemima's parents decided to begin the appeal to help other parents answer the questions they asked, such as "why us? Why our little girl?"

Have a look at Jemima's blog to see what she is up to:  www.jemimasellicks.blogspot.com

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Jemima Invites will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.

We have funded over 100 research projects tackling many forms of cancer. In 2012 we opened a dedicated clinical trials centre at Leicester Royal Infirmary to offer patients access to new medicines and therapies. We also fund two nurses who add to the care and support trials patients receive.
